Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network

Northwest Vermont Public Transit Network, Inc. (NETWORK) was incorporated in 1991. It is a private not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing transportation to the communities in Franklin and Grand Isle Counties.

The NETWORK provides the following services:

  • General Public Fixed Routes and Subscription service
  • Medicaid Transportation
  • Elderly and Disabled Transportation
  • Vermont Rideshare
  • Ridematch

Some of the services listed are for the general public and others are tailored for specific groups such as elderly, Medicaid eligible and people with disabilities. Use of these services is paid for by a variety of programs and/or by the general public.

Vehicles: 3 22-passenger buses
2 14 passenger mini-buses
2 Vans
All lift-equipped
2 buses are equipped with bike racks
119 volunteer cars
Hours: Monday – Friday 5:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Varies by day and service
Base Fare: $1.00-$3.00 on Fixed Routes
Varied by Service/Distance.
Service Area: Franklin and Grand Isle Counties
Service Profile: Fixed and deviated route; Subscription Service; Demand Response; Van Services; Car/Van Pools; Volunteer Driver, and Taxi
