Town of Stowe
The Stowe Trolley System is a municipally owned, privately contracted, fixed route public transportation system serving the Stowe area. The system has three components: (1) Village- Mountain Shuttle running mid-December through mid-April, 7 days a week, 8am-10pm serving tourists, skiers, local residents and commuters; (2) Stowe- Morrisville Village Shuttle running year-round on Tuesdays and Thursdays serving local residents, commuters and elderly citizens; and (3) Stowe Trolley Excursions running July 1 through Columbus Day, 7 days a week serving local residents, tourists and commuters. Total annual ridership is approximately 47,266. Planned future improvements include bus stop pull-offs and increased job access commuter runs. 
The Stowe Trolley System’s funding is 65% state and federal grants; 9% town contributions; 11% fares and 15% commercial sponsors.
