Substance Abuse Testing and Training

The Substance Abuse Testing Consortium, managed and funded in part by VPTA, offers member organizations the opportunity to comply with mandated testing and training requirements at substantially reduced rates

Statewide drug and alcohol testing and training for all safety sensitive transportation employees is required by Federal Law. VPTA through its contractor Para Med Plus, Inc. of Barre, Vermont conducts regular employee and supervisor training for more than 300 safety sensitive transit professionals across the state.

Management Information Systems Support

VPTA has developed and supports a common data management, dispatch and billing system that is used by all member organizations. 

Government Relations and Public Education

VPTA supports the members through an active government relations program. The organization provides information and educational materials for the public and policymakers about the advantages and benefits of public transportation.
