Adult Day Center Thrives
Friday, December 05, 2003

Public transportation - wherever life takes you!

Club Respite Executive Director Sue Chase says, “Our adult day center, Club Respite, would not exist without the transportation service provided by the Northwest VT Public Transit Network. The Network provides Club Respite with safe, reliable door-to-door transportation to our participants.”

Many of the participants enjoy the service provided by Network, as their statements show. Gordon Ross of Fairfield adds that Network does a fine job and that “I like them.” George Bessette of Swanton sums it up by affirming Network’s drivers “do everything they can to help you out - they’re good drivers.” Musetta Bluto of Swanton states that “it is a good ride and the drivers take good care of me.”

The care and quality of service provided for all participants is a personal value of the drivers for Network. Driver Cary Young sees “driving the Network Van as a different adventure daily.” He said:“I get to help, joke, and converse with some very interesting people. Knowing that I am in some small way helping these folks is a very satisfying experience.”
